I first learned about matt furey about 5 years ago through a good friend from jujitsu. Everyday during warm-ups we would do hindu squats and hindu push-ups. I feel Matt has a good book but I also agree that his instructions and details are lacking. The biggest downfall is how terrible his own conditioning is.
Cbass, I have both of Ross E.'s books and Furey's CC and Combat Abs. I encorporate a mixture of the exercises and have decent results. My biggest problem is cardio because I HATE running. I recently started skipping rope for endurance and really enjoy it.
Overall I think both Matt and Ross have good quality books and some have stronger points than the other in certain areas.
